End Post Test

This system consists of a surface plate bolted to the ground with (4) 16mm through bolts only 100mm deep onto a suspended foundation slab. The gap between the main posts is a maximum of 3.8 metres. The deflection on the front face of the end main post on impact speed of 24KM/H was only 290mm and after impact it returned to 95mm of its original position. The impact post back face deflected 205mm and returned within 70mm of its original position.

Mid Span Test

The test vehicle impacted the exact middle of the barrier span. The dynamic deflection of the front face of the barrier was measured as being 310mm only after impact. The barrier returned within 172mm of its original position and the test vehicle was undamaged. The system is designed to withstand multiple impacts from vehicles before having to be replaced.
